InDesign 2018 lagging on macOS High sierra

I'm running Indesign CC 2018 on High Sierra. Some documents are practically impossible to work in as the cursor freezes and spins for 30 seconds or so and then I get a gesture or click and it freezes again for an extended period.

Any helps is much appreciated.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your experience. Does it freeze while working on some specific documents or all or while performing some specific task?
Have you tried resetting preferences? If not, please follow instructions on help article(https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/setting-preferences.html) to do that.

**Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and InDesign will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.
