InDesign 2020 crashes on Macbook pro 16

InDesign keeps crashing randomly and frequesntly but, more often than not, it will be when I try to execute one of the following:
• Create a new document
• Paste text without formatting
• Paste in place

Is anyone else having these issues? I have a MacBook Pro 16" which was brand new in January and am on InDesign CC 15.1.2

Please tell us what operating system (exactly) you're running. 

I'd suggest trying to restore your preferences:

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your experience. In addition to what Steve has suggested, I'd request disabling the Automatic Graphics Switching from System Preferences (Click Apple menu > System Preferences and click Energy Saver).
