InDesign 2020 freezes while placing images.

ID 15.0.2 on my MacBook hangs whenever I choose the Place command and click on a file or folder. It unfreezes when I click around the screen. But I can't place items. I have to drag images in from Bridge or copy & paste text. This is driving me nuts.

So sorry to hear about the trouble you are facing with InDesign. That's definitely not a typical experience with the application. I would request if you could share a few more details like:

• OS and version of InDesign
• Is the issue related to a specific document? If yes, could you please share the document with us? You can upload it to the Creative Cloud and share the download link.
• From where you are placing the files (Network Drive/ System HDD/ Shared Folder on System /External HDD)?

Sasme problem. Luckily InDesign recovers work so far but using Big Sur on Mac and Indesign version 16.1

Of course it's stopped doint it now but I didn't change anything
