Indesign - Best File Conversion/Format

Hello All,

I am creating a photography portfolio using Indesign. So, the requirements are a good display quality of the document, compatibility with mayor platforms/monitors and last but not least web friendly when sending over by email.

what's the best file format/conversion/color-profile/DPI/Extention/Pixel/ 

Also, export suggestions are more than welcome!

Photoshop and Lightroom should be used for optimising your digital photographs.

Use JPG for the final format and experiment with the compression settings to get the best quality at the lowest file size.

Use sRGB for the color space.

DPI (Dots per inch) is the wrong term, which is used for desk-top printer resolution; the correct term is PPI (pixels per inch) which is irrelevant for screen display.

Try (in Photoshop) Export > Export As.

In using InDesign, Place your images from Photoshop in the InDesign pages and add the text there.

You can Save to a number of formats from InDesign, including PDF, FXL ePub, Publish Online. Also have a look at Adobe Portfolio and other third-party applications such as SmugMug.

You might be better off emailing a link rather than actually emailing a large portfolio as an attachment (unless you also produce a low-res version).

Why don't you create a portfolio website? Adobe includes that free with your CC subscription.
