Indesign CC 2017 very slow

Hi,

i'd install creative cloud on a windows 10 computer. i'm connected to a domain with an LDAP authentification. When i use indesign with my id on a domain, it works very slowly (when i drag and drop an object in a blank document, these operation takes 5 Or 6 second).

But if i connected with a local administrator account, indesign works correctly with good performances.

What'a happened? please help me!

Hi psis,

As per your query application works fine while you are on Local Admin Account but not on your user profile. In that case, I would suggest you get admin right on following folders from your IT Team

  • C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Adobe
  • C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Adobe
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
  • C:\Program Files\Adobe
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe
  • C:\ProgramData\Adobe

If it still does not work please try to sign in with a different profile and check how it works.

Hi, i've the same problem and not solved.

when the user profile is re-created, indesign and adobe creator work correctly with (no slowly). This situation is for 10 days and then, we've the same problem.

i'm sure that it comes from windows 10 because on win7 non problem.

have you an idea?

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. Please try to update the application to CC2018 by following mentioned steps and share results.

  • Open your Creative Cloud desktop app. If you aren’t automatically signed in, sign in using your Adobe ID and password.
  • Go to the Apps section of the Creative Cloud app.
  • In the Installed section you will see all the Creative Cloud apps that are already on your device.
  • If the one you want isn’t there yet, scroll down to the Find additional apps section to find it. Depending on whether you have purchased the app or are using a free trial the button might say Install or Try.
  • Click the button on the app you want to install. Your app will begin to install, and when complete, you’ll see it in the Installed section.
  • Once the install is finished, click on the Start Trial or Open button to launch the app.

Note: When you install a new Creative Cloud app it removes previous versions of the app on your computer. If you want to keep previous versions installed, click Advanced Options and deselect the Remove old versions check box in the Update Confirmation dialog box.

Previous product versions do not overwrite existing versions. You can have two versions of the same app running simultaneously on your computer.
