InDesign CC 2018 crashes - new index entry

Working in a single chapter of 1300 page book. InDesign CC 2018 crashes every time I try to create a new index entry. I've installed the BugFxes for Mac, deleted preferences, restarted machine, etc. Trying to create new index entry crashes each chapter even when working in each chapter individually. InDesign CC 2017 did not have this problem. Any assistance or suggestions are appreciated.

The bug fixes were only targeted at the five issues listed.

Post a bug report here:

Feature Requests/Bug Reports

In the meantime, use CC 2017. You can save your CC 2018 document to IDML (File > Save As > InDesign CS4 or Later [IDML]) and open in CC 2017 until the issue is resolved with an update.

You're the only person who has posted such an issue on this forum. Because there are other issues going on as well, you're advised to go back to CC 2017 in the meantime.
