InDesign Crashing

My InDesign keeps crashing when trying to save a new document. On older documents it forces me to recover documents. Do I have to save all files as IDLM files now? I have quit and restarted InDesign as well as rebooting my machine. This has been happening for about two weeks now. Any suggestions, please?

Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing the version of the OS & InDesign? Are you trying to save on local drive or network?

I'd recommend you to reset the preferences of the app(https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/indesign/kb/indesign-preferences-support-file-locations.html) & see if it helps.

Additionally, you may follow the suggestions given on this community post(https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/resolve-slow-performance-and-unexpected-behavior-of-indesign...) & let us know how it goes.

I'm on Safari Version 14.1 (14611.1.21.161.5). 

InDesign 16.2.1

It's happening when I save to my hard drive
