InDesign CS6 crashes on Mojave 10.14.6

Hello lovely people, 

I recently installed CS6 (a gift from a friend) on to my new 2019 Macbook Pro but it keeps crashing when I launch the app. None of the patches that I have downloaded were able to be installed. What should I do, besides upgrading to CC? I'd really appreciate any help.

Hi there, 

 

As Derek already mentioned, CS6 is definitely not compatible with Mojave or anything beyond MAC v10.9 ( https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/system-requirements-old-versions.html ). 

I am afraid, any attempts to troubleshoot the install could result in it becoming unusable. We strongly recommend upgrading your software to a newer version that is supported. That way, we can provide you tech support and access to the latest updates and bug fixes. I apologize for the frustration. Please le
