When I use InDesign the cursor flashes violently and makes the application almost unusable. I also have a weird cursor thing happening in illustrator where the cursor is very large when I am in the application however it's normal when I'm in the toolbar.

I am mac OS 10.15.7 using the v16 of inDesign.

I have a screencast here:

Thank you

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about this. This is not usual behavior of the app. I'd recommend resetting the preferences of the app manually. You may follow the instructions given below to do that:

  • Close all adobe applications
  • Go to Locations:
  • ~/Library/Caches
  • ~/Library/Preferences
  • Rename Adobe InDesign and com.adobe.indesign to Adobe InDesign.old and com.adobe.indesign.old
  • Launch InDesign from the CC

***Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and InDesi

***Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and InDesign will launch with default settings. This way all your old settings will be saved in .old folders and InDesign will recreate new folders with default settings.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Ashutosh
