HI, InDesign/epub question; why is my epub reading the spreads (English) the wrong way? Also, is there a way to swipe or tap from the right side of the ebook when reading?

You're going to have to expand on that. What does the wrong way mean? You should also be aware that fixed layout epub is highly dependent on the reader app. Most epub readers are pretty bad at fixed layout. The books app on Mac and iOS/iPad OS are the best. You can also give this a try: https://www.edrlab.org/software/thorium-reader/

I should say I'm using InDesign 15.1.2 and I'm creating a fixed layout epub. It's a heavily illustrated children's book with spreads.

Thank you so much for the info on thorium reader. FYI I went back to the beginning and redid my book layout (it's my first epub, plus I'm quite new to InDesign too!) making sure all text and images were placed in inserted correctly (not copied & pasted form Illustrator). Since then the epub has worked in iBooks - meaning I can swipe right to left. But as you say, I've been discovering that it really is at the mercy of the reader app used. So your link is much appreciated 😊

Have a look at InDesign’s Publish Online - you can't monetise the content but it’s great for interactivity and the content can be read on any device with a HTML5 browser - PC, Mac, Tablet and Smart Phone.
