Hello,
While using indesign I noticed it's been freezing frequently. Have you or anyone else noticed the same problem? Strange because I'm working on the new macbook pro with the M1 chip; so it should be working well.

Kenroy

Are you running it on Rosetta 2?

The new M1 chip is not running x86 architecture like the Intel and AMDs. Adobe software runs natively on the x86 architecture, it doesn't run natively on the M1 Apple Silicon chip.
This was a decision from Apple to move to a different architecture for their processors that the entire world is using. As such, Apple uses Rosetta 2 (an emulation process) to emulate the x86 architecture to run software.
Apple software mostly runs natively on M1 chip - but other software has to be emulated.
A boogey move from Apple.
Adobe are trying to get their software updated to run natively on the M1 chip - but there is a waiting period.
To this day, Lightroom and Photoshop are running natively on the M1 chip. Everything else is being emulated on the M1 Chip using Rosetta 2.
