Indesign is it right for me?

I am a visule artist, recently working in design. I need some technology to complete my wall paper (thats paper to go on someones wall) designs. It is mainly the edges do not match. I was advised to bye indesign but I am having doubts. Was I well advised. I do not see any video's / tutorials telling me how to make wallpaper. Also folowing the online tutoreals is hard work. I have just managed to get a picture to appear on the screen (sometimes I can move it around, sometimes I can't, and I can not alter the size). Any advice gratefuly receved.

Have a look at Adobe Illustrator – that application may be more suitable for creating wallpaper designs.

You can get online video tutorials on Linkedin Learning – you can get 30-days free.

Definitely Illustrator, and more specifically, explore patterns. Note that wallpaper now has two definitions: the background for a screen as well as paper hung on a wall. Learning how to create seamless patterns in Illustrator will work for both.
