I recently bought the M1 Macbook Pro and every time I try to use InDesign it freezes and I have to shut down my laptop using the power button. I have the most up to date Mac OS Big Sur 11.2.3 and InDesign 16.1.
I have tried to search for the 'Beta' version in my drop down (like the link suggets) but it is nowhere to be seen and there is no button to click. I am using creative cloud through my University, could this be the problem? I have lots of univeristy work to do and having a bit of a panic, please can you offer advice?
Thank you very much in advance!

Take a good look here: log out, log in.
The first Beta release of InDesign for Apple silicon is now available for testing.
Installing the Beta Build
This build is available on all computers running on Apple silicon. To install this build, open your Creative Cloud Desktop Application. Look for Beta Apps in the left-hand panel. (See pic below)
Note: If you are on a computer running on Apple silicon and do not see the installer, select Help > Check for Updates. If you are still unable to see the build, try logging out and logging back into the Creative Cloud Desktop Application.

Hello Frans,
Thank you for your response. I have read the link again, tried logging out and logging back in and still no change.
The 'BETA' option is not available and not appearing in the drop down, like the link shows it.
Is this a problem because I am using Creative Cloud through my University perhaps?

Who's log-in are you using—the University's or your own? If it is the University's then it would certainly make sense that applying to be a beta tester would not work.
