InDesign Program transfer problem

Recently transferred InDesign to new laptop. Can't pull up the "Tools" window. Everything else appears to be working. Concerned about reloading program (version 2.0) and loosing all previous updates. Is 2.0 still supported?

The current version of InDesign is 15.1.1. If you actually mean InDesign 2.0 which was released in 2002 then there is no way that it will work on a new laptop (either a Mac or PC). If you mean CS2 (Creative Suite 2) which was released in 2005 then the same lack of support applies. If you mean something else then please elaborate.

To show/hide tools pallete you're need to press TAB button.

Can you send a screengrab of the version of Indesign and what you see on your screen so we might be able to help easier ? As others have said it sounds like an older version of indesign ...
