Indesign slow down? Anyone else?

I'm having an issue with Indesign being very slow this morning. Maybe it's cold! There's a half second or so lag on every action. Very frustrating.

i have been experiencing the same thing. a lag, i have to click on things twice. its happening with my indesign 2021 and 2020

tried reinstalling InDesign but that didn't work. The delay is now 2 seconds.

Try doing a Save As and incrementally rename it to clear out the crud that can build up in an InDesign document.

is not the file. Its this version of indesign. it has issues.

Have you reset your preferences? If not give that a go and see if it fixes.

did reset my preferences, there is still a 2 second delay from when i click to when things happen (opening panels or selecting options). Also, i have to click on things twice (text frames or any frame) to selected, and if i drag, it take seconds for it to actually drag.

Have you tried turning off Live Preflight?

A the bottom of the document window, uncheck Enable Preflight for All Documents.

i found that when i change the display to fast from typical, it works better

mac os 10.4.6
