InDesign slow performance

Buonasera,

è da stamattina che solo indesign non funziona bene. E' molto lento e si blocca in continuazione. Succede solo con questo programma, gli altri (photoshop, illustrator ecc) funzionano regolarmente. A cosa è dovuto il problema?

Sorry to hear about this. Would you mind sharing the version of the OS & InDesign? Does it perform slow while working on a specific file or performing a specific action?

In addition to suggestion given by Mike, I'd recommend creating a new user account on your machine(Windows or macOS) and see how app performs there. Let us know how it goes.

Sorry to hear about this trouble. As mentioned above, the slow performance and unexpected behavior in application can be caused due to corrupt/ damaged preferences. I would like to know if the steps suggested above worked for you, or the issue still persists. If not, please share a few more details like:

  • OS and version of InDesign
  • Is the issue related to a specific document? If yes, could you please share the document with us? You can upload it to the Creative Cloud (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/share.html) and share the download link. 
  • Where the files are saved (Network Drive/ System HDD/ Shared Folder on System /External HDD)? 
  • When did this start happening? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates or web extensions installed recently. 

 

Kindly update the discussion if the issue is resolved or if you still need assistance with it.
