On new versions of Adobe programs of which I have been a loyal and addicted user for more than 20 years, it seems that the engineers pick out some of my favorite features and hide/change or eliminate them. This time it is InDesign snippets. What happened and where are they please? I love 'em.
Having thus vented, thanks in advance for help from those who know more than me,
Joe
Hi,
snippet files? *.idms files? Do you mean that?
Exported from InDesign? Imported or placed or dragged from the file system to your InDesign document ( CS4 to InDesign 2020 ) ?
Still available. Still exportable. Still importable.
What are you exactly missing?

MY BAD!
I must be having a brain fart. I attempted to save a file as a snippet. After reading your kind replies, I had to say "duh, dummy, select the object to save a snippet." Must be one of "those days." Thanks for your indulgences and apologies for my stupidity.

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. Addition to the replies given earlier, I'd request checking out this help article to know how to use snippets. Hope it helps.
