Indesign stalling when copy/paste/place

Windowss 10/64 updated Core i7 3.5 / 16 gig RAM

My InDesign for the last two or three updates stalls when I copy and paste into it from another program. It does the same thing when I copy and paste inside the program such as copying an element from one page to another. It also stalls when I do the alt-click duplicate routine.  The stall also occurs when I place an AI or PSD files.

This behaviour is not limited to one file, it is evident in all files.

I don't believe the issue is in my machine because I routinely work with PSD file as up to over 1 Gig in size with no problems.

I hope someone can help with this issue.

Thanks to those who know more than me,

Joe

Try reset your indesign preferences

Or use the creative cloud cleaner.

I wrote a blog posts here on how to do so
