I am trying to recover hours of work. I did not save the file and the Macos crashed. I tried all the guides I found but when I try to recover Indesign crashes. Any help is welcome.
There is nothing to do. Generally, the file would just open with InDesign and if not, you'd get a prompt asking if you wanted to recover it. Beyond that, it sounds like your file is gone.
I'd chalk it up to a lesson learned. Save often and work in either a Dropbox or Onedrive folder which will allow you to roll back to any version in case you over write it or delete it.
