I have created a filleable interactive form/PDF using InDesign. When I share this PDF form with a client, if they paste a weblink into a text field, the weblink does not become hyperlinked. You can't simply click on the link and have it open in a web browser. It just treats the weblink as standard text. Did I miss a step when creating the interactive PDF that would allow my clients to paste weblink/hyperlink into a text field?

also - depending on how you geet the client to fill i nthe form and send the data back you can export the content of the form to an excel file (which will make the links clickable)

URLs, etc. typed/pasted into PDF form fields are not interactive, just static text.

And it's not possible to make them interactive (aka, clickable).

I don't think it has ever done this - maybe with a script in the text box. But i have not seen anything do what you need.
