Interactive PDF: buttons actions that work/doesn't work after the export

I have created a web layout with several buttons and actions.

When I export it in pdf I can see that the button action 'go to the first page' it works perfectly but the ones 'go the the states' unfortunately don't work in the pdf.

In the EPUB interactive preview all seems ok...

I know that i can see the animation only in the online version of the document but I can't find a solution with these kind of button...

Could you help me?

Thanks

Right: you preview in EPUB but you export as (i)PDF. EPUB is not the same as PDF now is it 😉

The EPUB preview shows you what will work in... a EPUB (so not a PDF!). In the panel where you choose your action you can also see which one works ONLY in EPUB (Go To Page, Go to Next State etc.) and which one will ONLY work in PDF  (it is in dimmed grey text above the actions).

If you're talking about a PDF produced via InDesign's Publish Online document, these PDFs are static.

Thanks Derek, I confirm that I'm talking about a PDF generated by InDesign, with the version published online all is ok.

The main dount is:

is it normal that the all the other buttons (wiht actions like go to next/previous page and go to the first page) work in the PDF?

Just to be sure about the limits of the interactive pdf.

Thanks again

Great Frans, your feedback is super clear, I didn't see the dimmed grey text above the actions (EPUB/PDF).

Thanks so much
