I am working on placing a video file within my InDesign document, and I would like to have graphics over the top of the video, is this possible? Every time I try and place a video file, it shows up properly in the file, but when I export, the video is on top of all the graphics.

That's the way a video file works. It's always viewed at the top in an interactive PDF. You'd have to edit the video itself, and place the text above other elements in the video

Thank you, that's what I was afraid of!

I know @Steve Werner already answered your question, but I'd also like to add that interactive PDFs (and video they contain) do not work well across various devices (such as mobile phones and tablets). They typically work best on Mac or Windows, so if people will be using iOS or Android devices, interactive PDFs won't be your best choice.

Thanks for the info. I want to convert a print catalog into something more interactive with video, but maybe it's not the best media.

It may well be the worst choice you could make.
