Lost all my files after update! Indesign

Hello, 

I was running Indesign 2014, and it updated to 2021 over the weekend. I lost all of my local files, I did not have creative cloud setup. 

I would greatly appreciate any help to get these files back. How can I recover them, are they somewhere else? Can I revert to an old version of indesign?

When you say local files, what folder on what hard drive were you storing them in? The only way I can think of to lose INDD files is if you were storing them within the Program App folder itself. Do you not remember the folder location?

perhaps not the files are lost.

Just the entries in "Last Documents Used "?
