This is not the home screen it is just a blank screen when no documents are open. I can't seem to find how turn this off. This is very, very annoying to have this window sitting there in the road when I am wanting to do other things, and wasting my time have to go to the dock or command tabing to get to the app underneath it.
How do I get this window to not show when all documents are closed?

A screenshot might help us better understand what you're asking for, but I think you want to turn off the application frame in InDesign. It's at the bottom of the Window menu. That makes InDesign behave more like other Mac applications where you can see the desktop even if InDesign is active.
