Hello.

I'm not sure if anyone has had this issue before, but my mouse works horribly in Indesign. If I go to another application, say Illustrator or Desktop, it works fine, but again, once I click back to Indesign, the mouse starts skipping around.

Any solutions?

Thanks.

Hi Brad,

Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing version of the OS & InDesign? Have you tried connecting a wired mouse(or any other wireless mouse) to see if it makes a difference?

Please try disconnecting(removing) magic mouse and connect it again to see if it improves the behavior.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Ashutosh

Hi Brad,

sorry, no real solution and workaround:

I had this issue with the Magic Mouse already 11 years ago with InDesign CS5 and CS5.5 on old Mac OS X 10.5.

Bought a simple and cheap replacement and never looked back.

There is a utility—MagicPrefs—that fixes magic mouse problems in InDesign. It is no longer being updated, but it continues to work with High Sierra and is 64-bit.
