I have a lot of old quarkxpress 3.31 version files that I still rely on.  So far, Indesign has been able to open them.  Will the latest upgrade still allow me to open them?

And assuming that you can still open them in InDesign, you would prudent to convert all those files ASAP such that you are not caught with files that you can't open going forward.

Yes, but you would have known that if you tried.

Thank you so much.  Do you know of any way that I can perform a mass conversion of my quark files, and in such a way that they retain the names that I have given them?  I have so many, hundreds in fact, to which I refer from time to time.

I believe that Q2ID will keep the original name, but it's been a while since I used it. Might want to check with Markzware on that.

Hi daddylion,

look into Peter Kahrel's Batch Convert script:

https://creativepro.com/files/kahrel/indesign/batch_convert.html

Peter lists also Quark XPress as input format.
