Hello 🙂

I don't have Word on my computer and so when I try to import text to my document in Indesign, I am not able to select the text (I use Pages on Mac Os and not Word). Is there a solution to this? Because it is really not convenient for my workflow. Thank you in advance for your answer. 🙂

Hi @FloR38:

I don't have Pages installed on my Mac, but from poking around online, it does not sound like there is a direct import option.

Alternatives presented (that I can't test) include:

  1. Export the Pages document to Word or .txt or .rtf
  2. Export the Pages document to PDF. Open Acrobat and export to Word or .rtf
  3. Buy a plug-in from Marxware: https://markzware.com/pdf2dtp/how-to-convert-apple-pages-to-adobe-indesign-cs6-cc-2018-pdf2dtp/

There is always copy/paste which is my last choice in any situation, but in your case, it may well be your only free choice.
