If you have multiple people working on one project, it is very difficult to work on one file. You can make suggestions, but there always has to be one person for one file. Now you can package a file then they open it but it doesn't update the root file. If you know of a good method or workflow to continuously sync one file and work on it collaboratively, please let me know.

I am surprised they haven't developed something like Google's platform. Once Google has comparable software it will be hard to compete.

@steinrueckn
Well there is InCopy (think of it as a striped down InDesign) which allows for multiple users to work on assignments/different tasks. So e.g. an editor could make text changes while you work on the overall design.

Depending on your requirements there probably are limitations but it's the closed thing you can get at the moment.

And as far as I know, if you have InDesign you don't have to switch to InCopy, just open the assigments via InDesign (might be wrong on that one, never really worked with an InCopy workflow)

BUT – InDesign developers teased something similar (browser editing) at this years Adobe MAX as (probably distant) feature yet to come.

That wouldn't be possible. Only one InDesign user should have the INDD file open at a time.

Anyone editing content should be using InCopy.

You already have that with incopy, you are asking for the entire platform to be web based?

google docs does not have linked files to them, or they do? Indesign does. How would that work?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. In addition to responses given earlier, I'd recommend checking out similar discussion on community post(https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/indesign-real-time-collaboration-with-adobe-cloud-create/td-....

Hope it helps.
