Hi,
We have written a plugin where we opens files and save them at default save location in Indesign(i.e documents folder). It is observed that if Indesign is opened in non-admin mode the files opened are read only and while saving we get message saying "Cannot save the document. It may be opened by other applications. close application and try again......".
When indesign is opened in admin mode it works fine i.e file is opened in non-read only mode and we can save the file too.
Have we missed something while opening file through plugin ? or opening in admin mode is the only option?
Thanks
Check the file owner - apparantly that admin account - and access rights.
When the file was created by an admin, it makes sense that only that admin can modify it.
