Paragraph styles pop up window

When I create or adjust my paragraph/character styles, the pop up window is way too big and makes it difficult to preview my adjustments. Does anyone know how I can make this pop up smaller?

are you able to set your monitor to a higher resolution so that all controls become smaller?
