I followed this tutorial video on YouTube to create interactive buttons.
I could follow most of parts but stuck in the description adding part in 10:40.
I double clicked the "button image" and I typed in words. I didn't have the option to select "Paste Into" tool.
I been tried to copy the description and the “Paste Into” tool option appear but it doesn't work.
This is a quite difficult part for me. Please help. I would appreciate that.
P.S. I am using Adobe InDesign CC 2018
Hi Amy (and Bob):
Martin wants you to add the text into the image button not into the graphic frame.
Now the text is part of the button, and will hide/show with the nav icons on top,

Hi Amy:
Notice that when he initially added the images around 1:03, that the frames are taller than the images. That makes the image buttons larger than the images. Then at 10:40 he is adding the text frame over the extra space at the bottom of the frame, after double-clicking the button frame to move inside of it.

Hi Barb:
Thanks, but this hasn't seemed to add the text with the button successfully.
I added image with the frame which taller than the image. I tried to type in words either outside and inside the image button frame separately. But there's no option to select the "Paste Into" tool.
Is there an easier way to do the same thing?
Amy.

You cannot paste into a frame that already has content.
You need to group everything for the frame and the copy/paste into.

- Make the image frame (taller than the image) into a button. Buttons have dotted line borders.
The position of the text frame that is cut to the clpboard so that it can later be pasted inside the button's active state is important.
If the position is outside of the buttons' bounds it will land centered inside the button's state with Paste Inside.
Of course one can move the text frame to a different position afterwards.
Just select it wth a double-click and move it.

Uwe
