Is is possible to place a page from one InDesign document into a second document, and have the link follow the original content page id, not page number, in case the page number shifts in the source document?

Hi David,

no, that's not possible.

If you plan a workflow around placing InDesign pages do that with one-page InDesign documents only.

Oh well.

It's a rare occurrence, and isn't planned when the original document is developed. I suppose we could move the referenced content to a separate single-page document and then link it into both.

Thanks for your help!
