Placing a complex large Word doc into Indesign

I am wondering what the easiest way would be to place a Word doc with columns into Indesign. Attached is a screenshot of the file from last year (which I'm trying to mimic) as well as a screenshot of the Word doc. The special anchored characters (5+ and the 'B' are what's giving me trouble) right now I'm having to manipulate each one separately and that is taking forever. I'm hoping there is an easier way.

Thanks!

Is the Word document text styled, if so, use the Word Import Options dialogue feature to match Word Styles to InDesign styles. Linkedin Learning have a useful video tutorial on how to do this, you can get 30-days free access.
