Hello, well I created my first children's ebook with InDesign, and its all well and good except when I export it it doesn't follow my orientation specifications.

I made a 1024 by 1536 two page spread document including mostly images. My issue is I want it to be landscape mode when flip horizontal but remain portrait when is vertical, so people with smaller devices have a better experience when reading it. But it won't do it

I understood once I select export when the option tab comes up I have to choose the option "Based on document set up" in the spread control options, so that is what I've been doing but it is not working.

I don't know if its the options I've selected or if it has to do with the positioning of objects.

Any type of advice is fully welcome!

That is not how fixed layout epub works. Fixed means just that.

It's not responsive and I don't know where you got the idea that it is.

This was possible with DPS (now AEM) but FXL as Bob points out is fixed. You may want to take a look at In5 from ajarproductions.com. They've recently added responsive capabilities to their product which may be what you're looking for.
