Hi, All -- I have always been able to choose my Proof Setup (rgb or srgb) under the Proof Setup option in the View Menu, but now the option is greyed out. I work mostly in srgb and choose that option rather than CMYK, and I use the proof setup to "eyeball" my prints on my computer screen, but now that option is greyed out -- what's up? I'm working with InDesign 16.1 on Big Sur on my iMac. My images are saved in srgb before being imported.
Hi Small Town Gal,
check if your color management is set to "Emulate Adobe InDesign 2.0 CMS Off".
Could be that you were hit by a severe bug with Mac OS users only as far as I can tell. If this is the case and you recently updated InDesign, PhotoShop or Adobe Bridge you could try to solve the issue following the steps below:
[1] Restart your machine without starting any Adobe app.
[2] Remove the following file:
ACEConfigCache2.lst
in folder: Users > username > Library > Preferences > Adobe > Colo

in folder: Users > username > Library > Preferences > Adobe > Color
[3] Start InDesign and set your usual color management settings.
The file ACEConfigCache2.lst will be created new from scratch.
Also do this for PhotoShop, Illustrator and Adobe Bridge.
