Hello,

I would like to manipulate photos, turn 90, 180 deg. and add several photos to make one image.

Is InDesign the right tool?

Using InDesign, you can rotate each individual image any amount you want. They will remain individual images, each in their own frame. If you want them to become one image, use Photoshop. Put each image on its own layer as you work.

You could use the gradient feather tool or gradient effects on the edges of the images to help "merge" images together.

Thank you Jane?

But if I want to do that without using photoshop, do you know a tool easier?

If you want to make one image, then you need an image editor. You can also use Adobe Photoshop Elements or a non-Adobe image editor, which you can find with a web search.

For me, though, Photoshop would be the easiest tool:

  • Create a new layer
  • File > Place > [image]
  • Edit > Transform > Rotate > type amount in options bar > commit
  • Repeat
  • Move tool to move each layer (image) into postion
  • Save the layered file as a psd or tiff (keep to make changes when there are edits)
  • Save As a flattened file
