Pardon my stupidity ... new user of InDesign at a small community newspaper. Two questions:
1. How do you link one text book to another text box on a separate page so that the text flows? We write our news stories in InDesign and sometimes we have a story that runs longer than one page. I cannot figure out how to have the text flow from the text box on the first page to the text box on the second page.
2. When I do have a two-page story, InDesign displays the first page for me centered on my workspace window. However, when I add a second page, and scroll down to the second page, it is offset to the left. This causes me to have to mouse around and adjust my view. It's not a big deal, but I like to work fast and it takes me extra time to do all the moving around between pages. I understand that this offset might be created in order to show a book view, allowing viewing of how the pages will appear if printed and bound. However, I don't need that functionality. I just want to be able to scroll down and have the second page aligned directly below the first page.
THANK YOU!
