Hi everyone,

Is it possible to select a word or group or words and insert Quotation Marks automatically to this selection? I searched about it but couldn't find.

If there is a shortcut, that would be cool.

Hello TorkAvto,

The below script will add "Quotation Marks" automatically to whatever text is selected when executed.

app.selection[0].insertionPoints[-1].contents = '"';
app.selection[0].insertionPoints[0].contents = '"';

Regards,

Mike

If you go to Find/Change, select GREP

In the Find what section put [A-Za-z ]+

and the Change to put "$0"

Now down in the Find Format section click on the little magnifier and add the font type you want selected. ie Italic.

What this will do is look for all of the text that has italic on it and replaces it with its self but with "" included.
