Saving Indesign document 2020

When I saved my indesign work, it saved it as a pdf file instead. It never happened to me when I had Indesign 2019.

If you do a Save As and select InDesign 2020 document from the drop-down menu, are you saying the resulting document is a PDF and it can only be opened by Acrobat?

Yes! It automatically does that. It duplicate an another document called called IDLK.

The only way I can retrieve my indesign document opening the indesign file.
