I designed an InDesign doc with no links.
But, whenever I try to open the document, it says it is finding linked files (and showing me the number of linked files with is around 90 or so). This is slowing up the opening of the file considerably, and when it does finally open, I look in the links panel and therer are no links showing!
Does anyone know what is going on?
Save the file as an IDML and then open that - and resave as another InDesign file.

Hi Michael,
did you do this document from scratch?
Or did you place snippet files or library assets?
Any overset text in the document?
Hm. Missing hyperlinks to page destinations of other InDesign documents?

What does InDesign's live Preflight suggest?
Does it showing missing links? And if yes, can you see some details?

Hi.
I got the document fixed. I just needed to save it as an IDML document, open it and resave it as an INDD.
All the phantom links seemed to of disapeared.
But your advice was helpful anyway, it did help me catch other unrelated errors.
Appriciated.
