For any number you could try this grep
find
\d(?=(\d{3})+\b)
replace with
$0.

It is not for any number. After three numbers there has to be a . and then followed by three numbers.
For example 038655 has to become 038.655
The article numbers are always 6 digits total. I have 52 pages full of articles and every article has it’s own article number.
