This is the worst product I've seem in the lasy 20 years. Get it together. Photoshop sucks, too!
Hi Pete:
I see that you are new here. This is a user-to-user forum (users volunteering to help other users in their spare time). We are happy to help you figure out how to use InDesign (and Photoshop) but we can't change the software any more than you can.
If you have specific bugs to report, or hope to see a feature included in a future version please use the following links:
InDesign: https://indesign.uservoice.com/
Photoshop: https://feedback.photoshop.com/

Which OS version?
How much RAM and spare disk capacity do you have?
Although, like all software, InDesign and Photoshop have some bugs, I don't recognise your characterisation of these applications. We invariably find that what users describe as bugs we find are system issues. You need to be specific and give us some examples.
Have you, for a start, tried resetting your preferences?
