Some word in indesign are incorrectly hyphenated

I'm creating a book and in some cases, words are hyphenated incorrectly.

As example, the word "chequered", the suggested hyphenation in indesign for this word is "cheq~~uered" but should be "che~~quered" (https://www.hyphenator.net/en/word/chequered).

I'm using "English: UK" in the paragraph style and no character style in that paragraph.

The Dictionary preferences for English: UK hyphenation and spelling are set to Hunspell.

Tested also with proximity but the result is the same.

Is this a bug in the dictionary?

Hi Paulo,

the mentioned fix clearly is for InDesign 2020.

It's the update to version 15.0.3.

Details on all things fixed with 15.0.3:

https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/fixed-issues.html

Don't know if your issue is tackled with that.

In the case of Woodwing Enterprise: If InDesign 2020 is not supported 15.0.3 should not be installed.

Update to the just released version 15.03. This is released to different regions on different days this and coming week, so you might have to wait a few days before it shows up. The update is supposed to fix this bug. However, I've seen this bug also in 15.03... It is a bug with the User dictionary and added hyphenation for words in that...

Hi Frans,

if you still see this bug with 15.0.3 that is because the document was composed and saved in the not fixed version before.

Did not test, but I think, a recomposition of all stories should change this. Or a roundtrip with IDML.

Is that fix only for CC2020, or will it be also for CC2019.

I ask you this because we are still working with CC2019 with Woodwing Enterprise workflow System and CC2020 were not supported at that time.
