Hold down the Command key and tap the Tab key. Continuing to hold down the Command key and repeatedly tapping the Tab key will cycle through all of your open programs.

If you have a lot of programs open and you tab past the one you want, cycling all the way around again can be a pain. To step back one program, hold down the Shift key, while still holding down the Command key, and again press the Tab key.
