I have 2 text boxes. The text I enter in the first box, I would like to see it repeated in the second box. For example, in the first text box, I want to add the name of a person. The second text box could be further down on page 20 and I want that name of the text box to be the same as text box 2 entry on page 20. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
This is exactly why the Edit > Place and Link feature was created. Works like a charm.

Hi,
how about using InDesign's text variables?

You cannot do it with InDesign, this must be done using Acrobat Pro.

Place and Link is definitely the way to go.

We finally found a more practical and more intuitive function in Acrobat Pro than in InDesign, generally it is quite the opposite!

Hi Scott,
Place and Link will only work with whole stories.
If the text should repeat as part of another text stream one has only one option for repeating contents: Text Variables.
Let's see what our OP would say…
