Hello,

I'm having an issue in InDesign with a border going around my text. I have the stroke weight and fill color set to 0 in the text tool bar and also have the stroke weight set to 0 in the stroke panel. I'm not sure why all my text has a defult border around it whenever I type something now. I've attached an image to show the border around my text boxes.

Thanks

Do you have the Border option turned on?

With nothing selected, if you activated this option you would have set it as the new default. Deactivating this option with nothing selected would effectively reset the default.

Yes, I did have the stroke color set to none. It was the border option as Michael mentioed below. 👍

I am having a similar issue. The suggested fix doesn't correct it 😞  Where else can I check. I have no idea what I did.

You will find the Screen Mode options within the View menu. In the Normal mode you will see outlines for everything, including text boxes. This helps you see all of the items on the page. If you switch to Preview mode, this is how your document actually looks and represents how your document would be exported or how it would print.

Tapping the W key will toggle you between the Normal and Preview modes.

You can also access these modes by clicking and holding on the icon at the bottom of the Tools panel.

I also noticed the "#" symbol in your text boxes.

At the bottom of the Type menu is the toggle Show/Hide Hidden Characters.
