I have an image on a slide master and when I apply that slide master to a page in the document and try and add text to the page, the text doesn't appear. The text box is there and it gives the impression of overset text. If I move the text box to a page with no master applied, the text appears correctly.
The screengrab shows at the top, the page with the master applied and you can see the text box with it's overset marker. The bottom, white page shows a copy of the text box as it should appear.
I can add images to the page with the master applied and have no issues.
Any help would be grately received as it's driving me mad!
Slide masters are powerpoint.
InDesign has Master Pages.
What you're seeing here is a Text Wrap issue.
The image on your master page is set to have a text wrap.
You have 2 options
1. Turn off the Text Wrap on the image

2. Set your text frame on the page to Ignore Text Wrap

Slide masters/master pages ... you knew what I meant!! 🙂
Thank you - eventually solved it. It was a text wrap issue but not on the image on the master page or the text frames. The text wrap was on the other images I was putting on the page. As soon as I added the drop shadow to these images, text wrap went on!

Well, that shouldn't happen... 😮
