in InDD cc, suddenly all the text in my footnotes started showing up with underlines, when that text is NOT hyperlinked. How do I get rid of those underlines? They are in light blue, just like when I add a hyperlink to a url that's in the footnote.
Never mind. I figured it out. One has to specify color, underline, font size, within the document footnote options panel.

Sidenote:
Better to create a separate paragraph style for footnotes, apply it, and set properties there.

Yes. Unfortunately, however, it appears I have to do this with every
chapter, one at a time. Do you know if there's a way to apply the new
paragraph style to all chapters in an InDD book?

How about menu: Type --> Footnote Options (or similar - I don't have an English UI)
