This indesign master page issue is extremely annoying and persistent

So my issue is, whenever I try to add my master page to two pages, it applies them in a very weird manner.

Example, when I state "apply master page to page 3-4", it applies it to page 2, 3, and it repeats the first page on the 4th page.

This is extremely obnoxious and no matter what I do, I cannot get it to stop doing that.

I'm attaching files that show this issue. as well as some images to reproduce it if you'd like. I have a screenshot showing what happens when I use the apply master page. I also have two images attached as well as the indesign file.

If someone could help me with this, it would be fantastic. Thank you.

Can you edit you post so the images are inline with the text instead of requiring downloading?

Your master pages are the problem I think.

So the left master page - that's callled verso

And the right master page - that's called recto

Verso pages are even page numbers

Recto pages are odd page numbers

When you're working in a spread - the master page spreads are Verso and Recto

When you apply the Left (verso) master page to a page it is adding that page as per traditional book making.

If you want - you can make a new Master page - and you can add the images in the opposite order - and then apply those Master pages to how you see fit.
