Hello,
at the moment I am working on a rather basic TOC for a brochure. The TOC was generated with the ID tool. but now a weird problem has come up:
the every "y" in the TOC does not have the same layout as the rest of the text.
I have created two layouts for the TOC (headlines & sub headers) and both have this problem.
Below an image of this problem:
Normally the font size is 11pt and there is no spacing between the letters (I belive it is called tracking in English?) but the "y"s are always 12pt and a 150 spacing.
If I try to change the letters back to normal manually it ID doesn't allow me to go below 12pt and a 10 tracking. Also if I Alt-Click the layout it always jumps back to the large spacing for only the "y".
It is rather infuriating because I don't know if that is a bug or if I made any error in the settings. I am not very experienced with ID so I believe it is totally possible that this problem is entirely my fault and not ID's 🙂
If anybody knows what the issue is or how I could correct it, I would be very grateful.
Please let me know if you have an questions about this question.
Many thanks in advance
Dennis
you have wrong grep style in your paragraph style
delete this grep style from the paragraph style "Inhalt"

can you share your file (or one page of your TOC at least) via dropbox or similar with us?

Thank you for your quick answer Vladan.
I cannot share the document becasue it belongs to my company and for internal use only.
However since the content is not relevant I have created an example file out of the original for you. It has the same errors.
I just deleted everything except the TOC and created some example headlines.
Here is the file via WeTransfer: https://we.tl/t-f1CtJAxdvx
Hope it helps.
Many thanks
Dennis

what did you want to accomplish with that grep style?
I saw now this grep style has applied in other paragraph styles too
You have to eliminate this style from other paragraph style also

I wanted to make the dotted lines in the TOC look more neat. But in the end I used an easer solution.
I quite now in ID trying out different aproaches to learn as I on this projekt.
I deleted the the grep style from all paragraphs and even deleted the format I used for that.
Have a great weekend!
